Altrincham Youth Team 2000/2001 presentation night

The Altrincham youth team had a very successful season. They completed the double of winning the   Bolton & District North West Alliance  League   and the League Cup.

The Club arranged an evening to celebrate the event and invited the team and their parents to watch the presentations and enjoy a buffet. It was a very pleasant evening.  

Mark Harris, Chairman of Altrincham FC welcomed the guests, team and also Mr Jack Berry (Vice Chairman) and Norman Sherriff (Youth Secretary) of the  Altrincham and District Football Association who presented trophies to the players  for representing the FA this season, and Fred Morris (Secretary) of the North West Youth Alliance who presented the medals and trophies. 

Mark Harris, emphasised the key role the Youth Team in the Club's future. and  thanked the team's parents for their  support throughout the  season.

When accepting the award George told of his delight at the teams achievements and why he had great hopes for the next season. Many  of this year's squad were still eligible for next year's competition and many have  progressed to the Reserve side with a distinct possibility that some will  be given a chance in the first team
