SAFE News
With the recent events at the Club, it again has become so important for us to continue our Fund Raising activities and if you can think of any new ideas which would help us increase our efforts then please do not hesitate in coining to put them to us.
There are people who are not keen on bucket collections but the simple facts are that it is an easy way of persuading supporters to part with their loose change. We intend to continue bucket collections but will organise them in an easier way so that it can be completed within the half-time period by using three buckets, one for the terraces, one for the main stand and one for the Bar. What we do need are volunteers to take them round, so why not come and help us and by doing them in this way you will not miss any of the action on the pitch, you collect the bucket from our SAFE Cabin and return it as soon as you have covered your area. At the Worksop Home match, the bucket collection raised £110 and the Football Card raised £40, so a total of £150 will go to help the Club with some of those smaller necessary items and if we can manage to do that at one game why can't we do it for all our Home Matches. Our thanks go out to all of you in giving your support in this way. The Football Card Winner on that day has not yet claimed their £40 winnings, the Team was Leicester and the name "Steve O", come and collect it at the SAFE Cabin. We would welcome your opinions as to whether you would prefer "A Player of the Season" Presentation Night and if you would attend the event; which will take place in the Noel White Suite on the Evening of our Final Home match of the Season. The Junior Robins Award could be presented before the Game, with the SAFE Awards obviously being made later that Evening, with Supper included there would be a small charge for a Ticket and Entertainment will also be laid on. We will also be having another Race Night before the end of the Season, if you have not attended one of our Race Nights, then give it a try, they are always enjoyable Evenings and the date will be announced shortly.
