  Brief Summary
  This was an entertaining game full of fire and passion played between two teams containing  individuals who play an important role in the life of various aspects of the club. The game was played in bright sunshine and there was a small but sometimes vociferous crowd.

  For much of the game the supporters kept at bay the more experienced veterans, who showed many glimpses of there past skills. In the end two goals from Ken Mckenna put paid to the hopes of the supporters team  of an honorable draw. However they were by no means disgraced.

  The only sad and unfortunate incident was an injury to Gary Thompson, the Altrincham Club physio who was playing in goal for the veterans. He had to be stretchered off and went to hospital suffering with a possible dislocated shoulder. It is ironic the one man who could have provided aid to others was himself injured. We wish him a speedy recovery. On Monday I learnt that Gary had been allowed to go home on Sunday evening but not before he had, under anesthesia,  a dislocated shoulder put back into place. He will be out of action for at least two weeks.

  A happy hour in the bar sounded off a good afternoon.
