Euros for Andrews shelter

While Jacqui Forster and her husband Russ were on a recent holiday in Italy they met Tony Nicholson from Norfolk who expressed a wish to help the Alty in Exile campaign to construct a shelter for disabled fans. Here he is seen making a donation in Euros with the badge sold to him by Jacqui
ALTY IN EXILE UNVEIL DISABLED FANS’ SHELTER
There was a ceremony to officially "open" a shelter for wheelchair bound fans. Alty in Exile (a section of SAFE) have been raising funds to construct a shelter for those fans who, until now, have suffered during bad weather games by getting soaked, snowed on and no doubt, thoroughly miserable. The idea for a shelter was inspired by Andrew Guilfoyle a fifteen year old Alty fan who has been in a wheelchair since a road traffic accident four and a half years ago. His mother, Lis explained to Alty in Exile Co-Ordinator, Jacqui Forster that she worried about her son regularly getting soaked through during rainy matches and then travelling home to Wilmslow before he could dry himself.
Jacqui resolved to do something about it and today the ribbon will be cut by Michael Le Vell (Kevin Webster of Coronation Street) . After enquiries of manufacturers of dugouts revealed that the price would be too high for any collection from fans, Jacqui’s husband, Russell Woodward offered to construct the shelter himself from raw materials.
Money has poured in to the "Keep Andrew Dry Campaign" from all over the world in the form of donations and as a result of Jacqui selling specially designed button badges, enamel Alty in Exile badges and CD recordings of the Fans Forum recorded here at Moss Lane for the GMR radio programme on 21st September, 2001.
You can still buy any of these items which are for sale from Jacqui personally or from the Robins shop.
Well done Jacqui and the Alty in Exile

Keep Andrew Dry campaign and the Graham Heathcote testimonial
Andrew Guilfoyle is an ardent Alty fan who is unfortunately has to use a wheel chair. In all types of weather Andrew sits in front of the main stand with no protection from the elements. Jacqui Forster, through the Alty in Exile group has initiated a campaign to raise money to construct a shelter called the Keep Andrew Dry campaign. She has received permission from the Club.
Jacqui has also received permission from BBC GMR to turn a recording of the Fans Forum held at Moss Lane on 21st September into CD's and cassette tapes. The CD's will be available from Jacqui or from the Club shop in December and will cost £5.00. Part of the profit will go to the Keep Andrew Dry campaign and part to the Graham Heathcote Testimonial
Jacqui also hopes to have enamel badges with the new Alty in Exile logo available in December, the profits will go to the Keep Andrew Dry campaign
