Altrincham FC Supporters 0   Runcorn FC Halton Supporters 4

Tuesday May 14 2002 at Moss Lane

This game was well supported by the dignitaries of the club fresh from last nights AGM Director Bob Peters was there and while not playing in the supporters team did, pre-match try to emulate Stuart Coburn, who was at the game, with some practice saves - he failed, but he did recruit two of his 20/20 Research staff to play for the supporters .

Director David Tracey was not only there but played for the team as did Brian Flynn, the Robins Round  up king

Others present and looking for talent were George Heslop, Youth team manager and Bernard Taylor, Alty manager, who presented the Trophy and Gary Talbot, ex Alty  and currently with Northwich

There was good support for the team who played well but could not match the well drilled Runcorn side who have played together on many occasions. After half time the Alty side found some of the rhythm which was missing during the first half and while Runcorn deserved the win the score was some what flattering to Runcorn.

Most of the pictures below are for the Alty defence because to be honest not much play occurred in front of the Runcorn goal

I have tried to capture every member of the team in action but have missed some and I apologize to them - perhaps next time? Thanks to Gary Warrington who updated the name of the Alty players.

Is he praying or stretching - guess who?
