BACKGROUNDAltrincham were unchanged from Saturday's game at Accrington, but the visitors brought in Paul Burns for Steve Flitcroft. Carl Furlong warmed up with the Alty team for the first time since his bad injury at Witton but was not named in the Altrincham squad. Again Alty took the risk of not including a goalkeeper in their five substitutes.
